Behavioral Health & Wellness is a grassroots, statewide, consumer-run organization organized to be an education and advocacy organization. Our goals include being change agents regarding policy and plan development that effect behavioral health services; supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges (sometimes referred to as peers or consumers), thus promoting hope, recovery and resiliency among individuals with behavioral health challenges; and promoting individuals to become empowered.
Behavioral Health & Wellness collaborates with peers, consumer and family run organizations (CROs), county and state agency staff and service providers to promote person-centered care; assist young adults (sometimes referred to as youth-in-transition), adults and older adults and providers in developing community-based resources; and provide consultation, education and training for community groups.
We welcome your thoughts, concerns, challenges and suggestions. To share them with Behavioral Health & Wellness, please contact us at BHW.
