Mental Health Action is a grassroots, statewide, consumer-run organization organized to be an education and advocacy organization. Its goals include being a change agent regarding policy and plan development that affects mental health services; supporting individuals with mental health challenges (consumers), thus promoting hope, recovery and resiliency among individuals with mental health challenges; and promoting individuals to become empowered.
Mental Health Action collaborates with consumer and family organizations, county and state agency staff and service providers to promote person-centered care; assist youth in transition, adults and older adults and providers with building community-based resources; and provide consultation, education and training for community groups.
